“HELP! MY TRUMPET IS BROKEN!”
Well, it’s happened to all of us, and will probably happen again at some point. A dent in the horn, a stuck slide, a valve that won’t work properly. We’ve all been there. Luckily, I can help! I am currently working with Houghton Horns LLC in Keller, Texas as kind of a pipeline between my students and their company. I live 5 minutes from one of their repair technicians, Chris, and he and I have worked out a system where I get the trumpet from the student that needs repair/cleaning, I then take it to Chris’ house in the evening. He takes it to work the next day and then we do the whole process in reverse when the work has been completed. This saves YOU time in traveling to Houghton Horns which is probably a good 45 minutes one way.
If you have a trumpet that is in need of repair, or an ultrasonic cleaning (once per year is recommended), then simply contact me. I will get the trumpet from the student and then transfer it to Houghton Horns and discuss whatever issue is going on. Houghton will call you if needed with any questions they may have or if you are asking for pricing up front.
