TRUMPET CLEANING SERVICE, $35.00
Trumpets should be cleaned on a regular basis, about every 3 month's is a good general time frame. Yearly it should have a professional ultrasonic cleaning to really stay in GREAT condition. Cleaning on a regular basis will keep the trumpet in good working order, be EASIER to play, sound better, and greatly reduce the possibility of red rot in the lead-pipe which can be a huge problem with the trumpet. Red rot occurs when a trumpet is not cleaned often enough and is noticeable in the lead-pipe usually but can migrate to the main tuning slide over time. More importantly, a trumpet with red rot becomes very difficult to play.
I am now offering a home trumpet cleaning service. This includes me giving your trumpet a bath and cleaning all of the parts. I will also inspect and replace if necessary, water key cork, water key spring, valve bumper replacement, and felt replacement. After I wash the trumpet, I will re-oil and grease the trumpet inspecting for any other issues that may need to be addressed by a professional repairman. I will then polish the outside of the trumpet. I make no major repairs or dent removal of any kind. It would be preferable if I had your mouthpiece as well during this process.
If you have a contract with a local music store where you get a yearly "free" cleaning, THAT'S NOT ENOUGH!!! The trumpet should still be getting cleaned every 3 months or so. It's not necessary for a professional ultra sonic cleaning every 3 months, just a normal home cleaning.
Here is how this can work. Contact me letting me know you would like your trumpet cleaned. At your next lesson, I will inspect the trumpet and give a price on the cleaning and recommended parts replacement (if any). I will take the trumpet once and will personally clean the trumpet usually within a few days and get it back to the student.

Click the link below to see an example of Ultrasonic Cleaning. This is my trumpet that had been ultrasonic cleaned one year prior to this video, and, I had cleaned myself 3 times during the following 9 months. The horn plays SO much better now, enjoy!
