Interview with Steve Bell of Bell Custom Trumpets
and the build of my custom trumpet.
Over my years as a professional trumpet player and teacher, I have been an Artist for both B&S Trumpets from Germany, and more recently Conn Selmer (Bach) which is based in Elkhart, Indiana. I immediately dropped my affiliation with Bach after playing the Bell Trumpets which are based in Ft. Worth, Texas. These trumpets are simply amazing. The consistency and quality are far superior from any brand I have ever played, the playability is nothing like I have ever experienced and the intonation is incredibly even over the entire range of the horn. If you would like more information or a test playing on these horns, please contact me to set up a play test.

Here is the trumpet of Mr. Kenneth Capshaw. Mr. Capshaw is infatuated with his new Bell Trumpet so much that he sold all of his other trumpets just to buy this one! Mr. Capshaw has been a huge influence in my teaching over the years as he has come to work with the Hebron trumpets quite a few summers during marching camp. Oh, did I mention? He is in the Texas Bandmaster Hall of Fame. Yeah, I think he knows what he is talking about. And for the past 30+ years he has been the trumpet professor at The University of Texas at El Paso, and principal trumpet of the El Paso Symphony Orchestra.
This is Cole E., from Walnut Grove in Prosper ISD sounding
