Vernon Richter's Trumpet Studio

IT'S SUMMER LESSON TIME!!!

Summer Lessons are a HUGE part of keeping the momentum moving forward with the progress of a student in their trumpet playing.  It is also a GREAT time to fix that nagging playing problem or embouchure issue that just can't seem to get fixed during the hectic school year.  In Summer Lessons, we will work on whatever the student is needing in their own personal development as a trumpet player.  During the school year, we are at times limited to the literature that we can work on due to school contests, events, etc.  Summer Lessons are for the STUDENT PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT.

In all of my years of teaching, I have definitely seen that students taking lessons in the summer are the one's making District, Region, Area and State in the Fall.

Summer Lessons this year will be available at four different locations.  On Monday's, lessons will be available at Killian Middle School.  Approximate hours will be 8:00am-3:00pm.  On Tuesday's, lessons will be at Hebron High School with approximate hours being 8:00-am-4:00pm.  The next option for lessons will be on Monday and Tuesday with lessons being at YOUR house.  Times will be mostly late afternoon and evening times.  The fourth option will be for lessons to be at MY house on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday and lesson times will probably be after 5:00pm.

Pricing:

On school campus lessons: $24.00 per 1/2 hour (district rate)

Lessons at your house: $30.00 per 1/2 hour

Lessons at my house: $30.00 for a 1/2 hour, $55.00 for an hour.

Some thoughts you might think about.  Maybe if you know your summer is going to be hectic and you cannot commit to a weekly lesson, that's fine!  Maybe schedule hourly lessons instead of just 1/2 hour if you know you will be unavailable the following week.  Some lessons during the summer are ALWAYS better than none.  Lessons on the school campus are at the discretion of the band directors in regard to availability.  I know they will take the week of July 4th off; they may want to take another week off since it is their summer vacation time and lesson staff does not have building access in LISD.

Ok, I'm sold!  How do I sign up for lessons?  Well, if you would like to take a lesson at either Hebron High School or Killian Middle School, you can do that by logging into the My Music Staff website and selecting one (or two or more) of the available lesson times I have set up.  If you are wanting to take a lesson at my house, or if you want me to travel to you this summer, you will simply just have to contact me via email, and we will set it up in that manner.

Any questions???  Please feel free to contact me at any time.
